Service Animal and Emotional Support Animal Policy
At Student Health Services, we aim to provide a welcoming and safe environment for all students. Please review our policy regarding service animals and emotional support animals before your visit:
Service Animals
- Permitted Access: Service animals are allowed in all public and patient areas of the clinic unless their presence poses a health or safety risk (e.g., sterile environments).
- Behavior Expectations: Service animals must be under control at all times (on a leash, harness, or via voice commands). Disruptive or aggressive animals may be asked to leave.
- Identification Stickers: Students with service animals will be provided a sticker to wear, ensuring our staff can offer appropriate accommodations and reduce unnecessary inquiries.
Emotional Support Animals (ESAs)
- Restricted Access: Emotional support animals are not considered service animals under federal or state law and are not permitted in the clinic.
- Need Accommodations? Contact our office in advance if you require specific support during your visit.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in following these guidelines. If you have questions or need assistance, please contact us at 893-3019.
