The Clinical Nurse is available by appointment during normal clinic hours.

Notice: Beginning with the 2025 Winter Quarter injectable medications not ordered by one of our SHS providers will no longer be allowed to be administered at SHS by our staff.
Clinical Nurse Services
The Clinical Nurses are available to assist you by answering health-related questions, providing information for
self-treatment of:
- mild illnesses
- injuries
- if needed, making appointments with appropriate clinicians
They are available to provide:
- routine immunizations
- tuberculosis screening
- assess upper respiratory infections, including strep testing
- assess and treat uncomplicated urinary tract infections
- address contraception and sexually transmitted infection (STI) questions
- remove sutures/staples
- perform first aid on minor wounds.
UC SHIP Waived Students
For students who have waived out of UC Student Health Insurance Plan (UCSHIP), there may be a charge added to their BARC account for some services. The Clinical Nurse will discuss any applicable fees prior to proceeding. Read our page on Prices for Common Services for further information.
