Behavioral Health Services during the COVID-19 pandemic.

UCSB is closely monitoring the ongoing Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. As the situation continues to change rapidly, our top priority remains the health, safety, and well-being of our community, on and off-campus. We are planning for several contingency scenarios and taking informed action to limit the spread of COVID-19 while ensuring the continuity of our service mission.

Behavioral Health Services at Student Health (Psychiatry, Social Work, and Alcohol and Drug Program) remain operational with the following measures to protect the health of the community. Effective Monday, March 16, 2020:

  1. Established appointments will remain in place and new ones will continue to be scheduled.
  2. In-person appointments will be changed to phone sessions or remote sessions using Zoom (when possible). Alternatively, students have the option of brief update communication with their treatment providers using secure messaging.
  3. Please reply or send your provider a secure message with your preference and update your contact information.
  4. At the time of the scheduled appointment, your provider will initiate the contact.
