Appointments There are 3 ways to make an appointment:
1. Schedule your appointment online
2. Call (805) 893-3371 and speak with a receptionist
3. Come into Student Health and make an appointment at the Appointment Desk in the lobby.
Athletes Follow the directions you receive from the athletic office or trainer. New athletes require a physical exam - returning athletes require an annual review. More info. contact ICA or Club Sports websites.
Authorizations (UC SHIP) Authorizations are required for SHIP members before receiving care outside of SH. See insurance.
Behavior Risk Assessment For immediate threats of violence, call 911. For help with addressing disruptive, threatening or violent behavior affecting members of the campus, see Counseling and Psychological Services.
Billing questions
For questions about SH billing, call (805) 893-8141. For a list of fees for our most common services, see fees.
Birth control Schedule a women's annual exam online if you would like to discuss birth control options. Over-the-counter products, including Plan B and condoms, are available in our pharmacy.
Bladder infection Come to the appointment desk in the main lobby during regular business hours.

Emergencies For life-threatening emergencies, call 911.
Emergency contraception (morning-after pill) Emergency contraception (Plan B) is available at the SH Pharmacy without a prescription to women and men aged 17 and older, with a picture ID to verify age. If you are a woman under 17, you can get a prescription by seeing a medical care provider for a prescription. If SH is closed, you may get it over-the-counter at a local pharmacy instead.
