What is nutrition?
Nutrition is the science of foods and the nutrients and other substances they contain. Food selection plays a significant role in health in major ways. Every day, several times a day, we make food choices that influence our body’s health for better or worse. Each choice may benefit or harm our health only a little, but when these choices are repeated over years and decades, the rewards or consequences become major. Thus, attention to good eating habits now can bring health benefits later. While health is a complex issue and even the best habits cannot guarantee good health, wise food choices can have a significant impact.
