Short-Term Health Insurance
If you need temporary health insurance coverage, short-term plans are available. Short term plans may be purchased by anyone who meets the eligibility requirements. You may choose from a variety of coverage options with different deductible and/or benefit levels. These plans are available for periods ranging from 30 days to 185 days.
Short-term coverage will protect you from the devastating effects of expensive medical bills in the event of serious illness or injury. The premium (the amount you pay to enroll in the plan) is based on the plan's deductible (the amount you pay prior to the plan covering services). These plans can have large deductibles and significant exclusions, such as pre-existing conditions, maternity, and preventive care. It is your responsibility to understand the terms of coverage prior to purchasing a plan.
