UCSB students need to utilize Off-Campus Urgent Care and Emergency Department services for medical problems that occur when STUDENT HEALTH IS CLOSED. For more information on locations click on the link "After Hours Care" to the right.
UCSB students with UC SHIP insurance have benefits to cover medical and pharmacy costs at outside facilities when Student Health is closed, or if they are more than 50 miles away from campus. See the "Insurance" section for information on preferred providers.
If you need transportation off campus and do not have access to a car, you can call Yellow Cab at 805-965-5111 who can directly bill your BARC account as long as you bring your UCSB student ID.
